There is nothing too major happening at the Andersons.
We are a week away from our main floor remodel being functional.  It has been a long 3 months, living in the den, cooking in the den, washing dishes in the laundry room.  Amazing to think everyone is still alive and happy with one another (for the most part)!  It helps that we knew it would totally suck before it got going.  Tomorrow we are getting our appliances and hopefully we can cook in the new kitchen by Friday!  I'll post pictures after we are all in.
Miles has finished up his session of swimming lessons, and like the 3 times before, has failed to pass to the next level.  We signed him up for his 5th round at the same level.  We are so proud.  It would help if he tried to swim instead of look at the marks on the bottom of the pool.  There will be no Olympics for this kid.  He prefers leisure sports, like walking.
Coop is doing well...he now has a French tutor, which he actually loves having.  I think he might think she is cute, because honestly, he isn't going to be a scholar.  He just finished up his basketball season and is a few weeks away from Lacrosse and flag football.  I love those, so he will play them until I say he can stop.
James has been traveling like a crazy person, but that is okay, since all four of us have to share the same 8X8 room until this remodel is done, and he takes up a lot of that space.
Today is snowed big beautiful snowflakes, so that was pretty....just kidding it was annoying, since it is SPRING!  Come on polar vortex, give me a break!

OK, seriously, I can do this!

I must admit that it is lame-train that I can't seem to keep this blog updated more than ever year and a half.  Here is to wishful thinking that I can this time!  Now, the problem is to figure out where to start!

Cooper is in 1st grade, and is loving school.  He speaks French all day, but we can't seem to get him to say anything in French when he gets home.  I'd say he has performance anxiety, but if you have seen him dance you know that isn't the case!

Miles is going to preschool 5 mornings a week, but it seems like by the time he gets there and I pick him up I hardly have time to even run to Target.  He speaks English, but no one can understand him!  I think a little Speech Therapy is coming his way!

We are just enjoying the changing weather, and looking forward to chances to slow down and do fun things.  It seems like we are going nonstop right now, but the boys are getting to play a lot of sports and hang out with family and friends!

Kindergarten Registration

Well - after literally months of debate, we have finally figured out what school Cooper will go to next year (and until 5th grade I guess). Edina has a language immersion school, which is French Immersion. French is a lame language to be immersed, I know and they know....but it isn't the language that made us decide that was the best option. It was the stories, the test scores, the class sizes, the teacher to student ratio, etc.
We are really thrilled that he was accepted, and now we are moving quickly. He registerd last night for full day kindergarten, met the teachers and is pretty happy that 6 other kids from preschool are at the school. We are excited, but I can't get a grip that he is that old. I feel like that thing that all older people say, 'it goes so fast...enjoy it' is finally starting to sink in! I was watching him talk to his friend while sitting at the kindergarten table and I felt really sad! Lame-o.
Now, we have to work to do! He is going to need a french beret and to grow a killer mustache before September! Do you think he will start doing the two cheek kisses when he sees people?? Yuck. Anyway - Au-revoir!!

Coop Bustin' a Move!

So - our babysitter Katie caught this on her phone while the boys were dancing to some Halloween music. The masks were a little project she whipped up, but the dance moves are all from James' family. Everyone knows that the Bubbs use a lot more hip action! Happy October!

Amazing Fall Weather!

My Awesome Nephew, Charlie, Turned 1!
My brother, Steve, forgot to shave that day! =)

Charlie on his birthday sporting the bruise from falling down the stairs. I think it makes him look tough.

The boys and I have enjoyed a lot of time outside playing in shorts & t-shirts. It is crazy that this is October, but we will take it while we can!

Family Wedding Photo - Leslie & Dave's Wedding

This photo was taken in late August, but they were just received by James' cousin, Leslie, from her amazing wedding! It was the perfect day for them to get married outside, and the wedding was really beautiful. Lots of fun watching them get married...they are a cute couple!

Our kids stayed clean for approx. 5 minutes, so this is the ONLY photo I have seen where they don't look like they just got back from an outdoor football game. Miles managed to find the one wet area on the golf course to sit down on...leaving him looking like he soiled himself all night. We are so proud!

Cooper Turned 5 - with a trip to Disney World!

What better way to spend your 5th birthday than at the 'Funnest Place on Earth!'. Grandma and Grandpa Bubb took us to Disney World for a week and we had a BLAST! It was super hot, so the boys were able to sport muscle shirts for days, but it was fun and they had a great time. We stayed at Animal Kingdom, and were able to have breakfast with zebras & giraffes merely feet away from our suite. It was great, and now we are thankfully back to cooler fall weather! A big thanks to my parents for helping with the boys during the week, and taking us on such a memorable trip!
